FLORIHANA HAMAMELIS (WITCH HAZEL) ORGANIC HYDROSOL

Hydrosols are sometimes referred to as hydrolats or floral waters. Hydrosols are the aromatic remains after the steam-distillation of botanical plants and flowers. They are an excellent complement to essential oils because they are gentle enough to be used directly on the skin and can be used on children and pets.

The Florihana Hamamelis (Witch Hazel) Organic Hydrosol or Hydrolat (Hamamelis Virginiana) is certified organic and 100% natural. It is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers in France. This product is classified as a natural aroma (edible).

The Florihana Hamamelis (Witch Hazel) Organic Hydrosol is ideal for cosmetic herbal preparations where a mild yet effective astringent is needed. It makes a great base for a variety of herbal projects, such as aroma mists, body sprays, and bath products. This lovely botanical extract is refreshing, gentle enough for sensitive skin, and supports a balanced complexion when used daily. With its toning and clarifying qualities, the extract also helps to reduce excess oil.

To use as a toner for acne prone skin, you can spritz it or simply soak a cotton pad in the liquid and wipe across the face with an upwards motion.

For mature skin, mix equal amount of rose hydrosol and witch hazel hydrosol in a fine mist spray bottle and use it as a facial astringent.

Witch Hazel Hydrosol is also used in the treatment of hemorrhoids, varicose veins, skin swellings and other ailments, due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It can reduce redness, swelling, and pain and promote healing for cracked skin, burns, and sunburns.

With its strong anti-fungal properties, Witch Hazel Hydrosol is good for treating candida rashes and skin fungal infections. It can be sprayed on the affected area for relief.

To Use : The Hydrolats (floral waters) can be used for external and internal use (food, facial toner etc.). Once opened, keep it in the refrigerator and use within 6 months.
